Hester Schadee is a Senior Lecturer in European History at the University of Exeter. Her research interests are Italian humanism, classical reception, and the histories of historiography, scholarship, and political thought. She has published on seminal figures in the Quattrocento humanist movement, such as Leonardo Bruni, Poggio Bracciolini, and Pier Candido Decembrio. She studied History at Oxford, and has held research fellowships at Princeton University, Ludwig-Maximilians Universität (Munich) and the British School at Rome.
