Giuseppe Pascale (Phd University of Roma Tre) is research fellow at the Università Cattolica in Milan. Since 2018 he also teaches Byzantine Civilization at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in Naples. He has investigated several aspects of Greek medieval culture and civilization, from late antiquity to the threshold of the Renaissance. Beside a number of scientific articles, he is also the author of Massimo Planude. Epistole a Melchisedek (Alessandria 2007). His critical edition of Themistius’ Orations 4, 5 and 7 is forthcoming for the series “Biblioteca di Athenaeum”.
