Sofia Brusa graduated from the Università Cattolica in Milan and obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Messina, where she is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Dipartimento di Civiltà Antiche e Moderne. She previously held an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Her research interests focus on 14th-century Latin literature, in particular early Humanism in Padua and Albertino Mussato, the reception of the Latin classics (especially Seneca tragicus), medieval commentaries, and Francesco Petrarca.
